The authorities of Algeria have begun an investigation regarding Uheid Kourdj, an African beauty influencer from the 2019 African Heritage and the Northern Africa beauty influencer from 2021, for accusations of abduction and illegal deprivation of freedom. Local media reported yesterday that the investigations indicate Uheid's involvement in the abduction, threat, and abduction of her manager, and that she is under custody in a prison in Koloa, west of the Algerian capital, in connection with these accusations.
The incident, according to the investigation, occurred in the "Ulad Faith" area on February 24 of last year, where Kourdj lured her manager to her home under the pretense of handing him a monetary sum, then detained him and attacked him, with the presence of several of her family members.
Uheid Kourdj denies the alleged accusations, stating during the investigation that her actions were prompted by financial and personal disagreements with her manager, who was responsible for her advertising campaigns on social media. She also accused him of damaging her reputation and supporting negativity through these platforms.
Uheid Kourdj began her career at the age of 16 and collaborated with several well-known designers in the country.
